The Coalition of Young Women for Climate Justice is building a global community of young women shaping climate action across movements, sectors, and regions.
Joining the coalition creates opportunities to connect, contribute, learn, collaborate, and participate in collective advocacy. Membership does not require you to leave your existing movement, organization, network, or community. The coalition is stronger because members bring distinct identities, experiences, and priorities.
Who can join
Open to young women, with space for committed allies.
The coalition centres young women across diverse identities, geographies, abilities, experiences, and areas of work, with clear and responsible roles for allies.
Young women
Young women working on climate justice in formal or informal roles may join as individual members. This includes organizers, researchers, students, entrepreneurs, negotiators, artists, farmers, engineers, health advocates, journalists, community leaders, and others.
Youth-led and women-led movements
Grassroots groups, networks, collectives, and movements may participate while retaining their own identity and independence.
Civil society and community organizations
Organizations aligned with the coalition's values may join as participating organizations or allies.
Indigenous organizations and communities
Indigenous leadership, rights, knowledge, and sovereignty are central to climate justice.
Organizations of persons with disabilities
Disability-led organizations are invited to shape the coalition's accessibility, advocacy, and policy priorities.
Researchers and academic institutions
Researchers, universities, and knowledge institutions may contribute evidence, platforms, mentorship, and collaborative research.
Governments and public institutions
Public institutions may engage as policy partners and allies where participation respects the coalition's independence and young women's leadership.
Funders and development partners
Funders may support accessibility, convening, research, advocacy, participation, and the movement infrastructure required for collective action.
Private-sector allies
Businesses and industry partners may engage where their practices are aligned with climate justice, human rights, transparency, and accountability.
Media and cultural platforms
Journalists, publishers, artists, and cultural institutions may help strengthen public understanding of young women's climate leadership.
